Reunited In Derby

I started this post in November 2021 after meeting up with a very good old friend in Derby, but never got around to finishing it, so here it is, so I can enjoy remembering it.

We had such fun seeing each other for the first time since Covid kicked off. I remember we met at the train station and gave each other such a big, squeezy hug!

We spent the next day and a half talking, charity shopping and visiting Derby's museums.

 

Derby has some excellent old buildings that we admired.

At night we went on a long walk (because we got lost!) and eventually found Derby Gaol.

Next day we tracked down an apparently haunted stone plinth.

 

And finally enjoyed a riverside walk back to the station. 

Derby turned to be the perfect place to meet between where we each live and since then we've been twice more and have another trip in June, to visit some favourite places and find new ones.
